Project title

Optimizing the Performance of Construction Professionals through a Proactive Organisational Stress Management Model (Jan 2007 – Dec. 2008)
supported by CERG, Hong Kong Special Administration Region

Abstract:

For current organisations to survive and grow, construction companies require innovative technical and analytical input from C-Ps. The pressures associated with competition, time and environmental concerns, allied to uncertainty which is characteristic of organisational change in a dynamic marketing situation, place a lot of stress on C-Ps. The research aims to enhance the stress management of C-Ps through an Organizational Stress Management (OSM) model in construction firms. The operational objectives are to identify organizational coping strategies and organizational performance and construct Organizational Stress-performance relationships (Organizational coping strategies, Stressors, Stress and Performance) for C-Ps.
